Today’s world of entertainment offers us many choices. More choices than ever for premium, personalized content. More choices than ever for consuming that content on different screens.
It’s exciting that we have so many choices for content consumption but with all of the great stuff that we love comes a great amount of noise – undesirable content that makes for an overwhelming user experience. With that in mind, our team asked the question – how can we create a user experience that minimizes noise and maximizes consumption.
The answer came to life as Gravity Ultra, an elegant, futuristic 4k interface built on a conceptual foundation of organization and intelligence.
With precise organization of content and the flexibility to handle all metadata formats, you gain a sense of clarity allowing for free exploration of videos, music, photos and apps without disruption.
With the intelligence of an anticipation engine and modular content formations, the system grows and matures with the user and with the ever expanding content universe.
Once we had our interface concept locked in, it was time to start building. Let’s take a look at the final output.
SMART PLAYLIST
The Smart Playlist is a usage based, passive recommendation engine. The content most relevant is placed closest to the viewer while less relevant content is placed further back in 3d space.
HELIX VIEW
The viewer can take active control of the smart playlist and organize their recommendation cloud into a 3d helix formation easily navigable with a remote control.
STACK VIEW
The core of the Gravity Ultra user interface is the Stack View. All of the available content is organized into columns by type.
CONTENT WALL
When a Stack is selected, the content is spread across the screen and zooms forward for easy examination.
MEDIA CARD
The Media Card displays all of the available metadata for a selected piece of content. It includes the promotional artwork, video, synopsis, cast and related titles.
EXTRAS
A selection of additional screens featuring partners including MasterCard and Dolby.
